GChess Review Review a game

Terms of use

Last updated: 30 October 2026

These terms apply to your use of gchessreview.com ("the site"). By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.

The service

The site lets you review chess games with an engine that runs in your browser, solve puzzles and play against computer opponents. It is free and needs no account. Features may change or be removed at any time, and the site may be unavailable from time to time.

Engine verdicts are not guarantees

Move classifications, evaluations and suggested lines come from a computer engine with limited time and depth. They are often right and sometimes wrong. Use them to learn, not as a final judgement on a game or a player.

Your games and data

Games you open are fetched by your browser from Lichess or Chess.com, or pasted by you. They are analysed on your device and are not sent to us. What the site keeps, and where, is described on the privacy page.

Acceptable use

Third-party sites and content

Game data comes from Lichess and Chess.com, video lessons from YouTube, and each is subject to its own terms. Open-source components, including the Stockfish engine, keep their own licences, listed on the licences page.

Our content

The site's own code, design, artwork and text belong to GChess Review, all rights reserved, except where a licence on the licences page says otherwise.

No warranty, limited liability

The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, GChess Review is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, including lost progress stored in your browser.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
